Lemon Hand Scrub Recipe

Hello All! I’ve been in a DIY craze as of late, so I thought I’d share another recipe. I made this homemade lemon hand scrub to use after I have been washing dishes or something of that nature. I use Young Living’s lemon essential oil in it, and it smells amazing. The base oil really leaves my hands extremely soft. I keep it in a small jar by my kitchen sink. I try to make a new batch every week, so it doesn’t get contaminated.

  • 1 Cup of sugar
  • 1/4 Olive Oil
  • 15 Drops Young Living’s Lemon Essential Oil

Mix together and enjoy!

Sleepy Spray Recipe

Okay guys, I’ve been chatting everyone’s ear off about my love affair with lavender and cedarwood essential oils (from Young Living). I recently put together a linen spray using both oils, which I call my magical sleepy spray. It is so simple to put together and works amazingly well in Lucy’s nursery and in our room too.

  • 10 drops lavender
  • 10 drops cedarwood
  • 4oz water
  • Pinch of Epsom salt (or 1/2 tsp witch hazel)

Directions: spray on bedroom linen before going to sleep for naps or at night. It’s also great to use in the car, if your little one doesn’t like being in their car seat.

You could really use any of your favorite essential oils in this recipe. Even just using lavender would be really effective! I’d love to use Peace and Calming in this recipe (if you haven’t tried this P&C yet, we need to chat because I’ll hook you up with a sample. It’s that amazing!), but I was afraid it would stain white bedding.

Curious minds need to know, what are your go-to essential oils for sleep?
